Quality

The basic indicator of SEMICROL’s bet for Quality has always been our clear and determined orientation to achieving our clients’ maximum satisfaction. We consider Quality is a strategic factor for competitive development in our business, and consequently, we constantly seek to offer high-quality products to our Clients and meet their expectations.

This commitment is adopted by all the members of our organization, who are well aware of the fact that their involvement and sense of responsibility is crucial in achieving this goal. SEMICROL offers a Quality Department, whose staff is entirely dedicated to managing and assuring the Quality of the products and services developed and implemented by the company.

Because it would not make sense otherwise, SEMICROL believes that Clients are the ultimate judges of our Quality and their judgement is our final score. In order to be better day by day, SEMICROL implements, evolves and develops its activities according to its Management System, based on the following standards:

  • ISO 9001:2000 Standard All the processes related to operations, strategies, support and work methodology in our daily activities are defined according to the requirements of this standard. The Management System has been defined as a highly process-oriented model and was certified under this world-class standard by Bureau Veritas in 2007 for the following scope:“Consultancy, Analysis, Design, Construction, Implementation and Maintenance of Computer Systems and Applications”.
  • EFQM Model. This European model has been adopted as a reference standard in our pursuit to bring continuous improvement and management excellence. This excellence is pursued in the action policies, results and performance of the organization and it is always geared towards the related interest groups (Clients, SEMICROL’s staff, Allies, Partners and the Society in general) in a sustained manner and with an approach based on criteria of Total Quality. We think that “it is not enough to claim you are the best. You have to prove it.” Therefore, SEMICROL carries out EFQM self-assessments every two years in order to analyze the strengths and improvable areas of the organization, which will define the action lines of our Strategic Plans.
  • METRICS Methodology v.3.When defining the detailed operational processes integrated in the Management System and related to consultancy and ICT development activities, we use this Methodology as a reference for Planning, Development and Maintenance of Information Systems, developed by the High Council of Electronic Administration of the Spanish Ministry of Public Administrations.
  • CMMi model.With the aim of optimizing operational processes we have adopted this maturity model for software development of the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute. We are currently working on the implementation of the Level 2 practices in order to certify our chain of consultancy and creation of computer products in CMMi2.
